LOVE IN BLOOM

(Written By: Mike Graham)
Love In Bloom

(Words and music by Mike Graham)
In a small town lived a girl and she had dreams and passion
She was greeted by a soldier boy in a jaunty fashion
He said darling will you come with me to the county fair
For I’d dearly love to hold you and to dance with you there

And you could tell its love in bloom
There’s no one else inside the room
She’s got that light inside her eye
And he can’t hide away his smile
Oh hurray, hip hurray yeah
For love in bloom

It was just from that one magic night at the county dance
That lit the spark that caused the flame that fed the fires of romance
And in the months to come in a creaky bed in his rented room
They would celebrate their love all through the afternoon

Chorus

Oh hurray for golden days
When true love comes your way
Sweet memories survive
Ahh all through your life

Then the talk was all of war and trouble on the way
And her soldier boy was called to fight down in Soubler Bay
Now all that she has left is a photograph of the county fair
And though it shows them standing in a crowd
No one else seems there

Chorus
